Alicia Gibbs

Carer Advocate

We welcomed Alicia to the role of Carer Advocate in January 2026.

Alicia is very passionate about CF&KC-SA’s cause. Exposed to a community of carers at a young age due to her parents’ involvement in fostering, Alicia recognises the hard work and dedication it takes to be a carer.

Upon completing her Bachelor of Psychology in 2024, she has had experience working with children and in social work. Through her studies and work experience, Alicia has developed strong interests for child development, mental health and social sciences.

Growing up with foster siblings allowed for learning, growth and empathy. Alicia wishes to use her knowledge in her advocacy, to empower and equip carers with the resources they need to continue their invaluable contributions.
